In 2022, restaurant chain Five Guys tasked Saving Grace Events with organising an unforgettable celebratory event overseas. In recognition of their team’s huge effort during the pandemic, Five Guys wanted to reward their 450 General Managers with a truly memorable experience that would celebrate the staff, communicate messages from the business, and show Five Guys as a great place to work. Saving Grace Events’ solution to the brief was for an innovative, creative campaign in the form of a three-day celebration in Dubrovnik, comprising of five individual events, including an awards dinner, conference, Game of Thrones tour, pool party, and after-party. Saving Grace Events planned all of this complex event, including travel and accommodation. They also successfully communicated Five Guys' brand values and branding. Planning any event overseas comes with its own set of challenges, from dealing with possible covid restrictions and customs to working around local processes when liaising with local suppliers. Saving Grace Events flew 11 team members out, plus entertainment and all relevant kit from various different airports around the UK. All of these challenges were overcome by planning and setting aside extra time for any issues. Saving Grace Events received amazing reviews and testimonials from Five Guys, with feedback such as “we don’t know how you’ll top this next year!” There aren’t many events where you can say that everything went exactly how it was meant to go, but the whole three days really did. What better way to celebrate and reconnect after two years of lockdowns than with a big celebration in Croatia?
