The Convention Centre Dublin

The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) was developed to provide a world-class conference venue in the heart of Ireland’s capital city. After marking its ten-year anniversary last year, The CCD has hosted over 1,900 events and welcomed over 1.3m visitors. The CCD has a proven track record for excellence and prides itself on the quality of service it provides to clients worldwide. The team at The CCD constantly deliver exceptional customer service and this is displayed by the excellent customer feedback the business receives since opening and the customer satisfaction rates remaining above 98%. 2020 and into 2021 were unique years for the events industry with many organisations and associations cancelling or postponing events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This resulted in a reduced number of events and delegates on site. However, during the pandemic, The CCD offered its facilities to the Irish government at no rental cost. The CCD hosted the Houses of the Oireachtas (Dáil and Seanad) from June 2020 into 2021, allowing the Irish government to meet safely in the venue’s Auditorium. During this time, The CCD launched an online event platform, offering clients the opportunity to hold digital, virtual and hybrid events. The CCD’s evolved offering includes filming and broadcasting, sponsorship upgrades, a virtual event studio, rendering service, and a delicious dine at home box. As the world’s first carbon-neutral constructed convention centre, The CCD is one of Europe's most environmentally friendly venues and aims to set a benchmark for environmental best practice within the business tourism industry. In this period, The CCD has a recycling rate of 97% showing a strong focus on sustainability. The most recent accounts posted for 2019 reported record turnover of €28.6m for 2019, up from €25.8m in 2018. This is the highest figure since The CCD opened in 2010.
